Vassilis Kokiopoulos
Vassilis (Bill) was born and raised in Canada before moving to Greece. He has studied Mathematics at the Aristotelion University of Thessaloniki and later he completed his graduate studies at the University of Guelph in Canada, acquiring a MSc in Statistics. He has been working in the Consumer Market Research Industry for nearly 20 years.
He started as a "client" / student at the “NAREI - GYROTONIC® ATHENS STUDIO”. In the beginning, he "moved" with PILATES and later on got introduced to GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS®. His mathematical way of perceiving the mechanical and geometrical analysis of movement were so valuable that he decided to become a trainer in both GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC®.
Vassilis is an experienced Pre-Trainer in both GYROKINESIS® & GYROTONIC® and is also certified in the Level II programs for both methods. He has completed trainings in all Specialized Equipment and attended all 3 Therapeutic GYROTONIC® Application courses (Pelvic Girdle, Shoulder Girdle & Scoliosis) taught by the developer Paul Horvarth. Last but not least, he has attended many Breathing courses, a Rejuvenation course and became a GYROKINESIS® Pre-Trainer at a Foundation course taught / supervised by Juliu Horvath.
His effectiveness in teaching but specifically his strong love for GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® are the reasons he is one of the most beloved “teachers” of these methods at the “NAREI - GYROTONIC® ATHENS STUDIO”.
Vassilis is a valuable partner who is behind every effort for communication of "NAREI - GYROTONIC® ATHENS STUDIO” on the internet. However, two of the most important qualities he has is his strong sense of "paedagogi" and his kindness when sharing knowledge, which he is going to transmit to you through movement and dialogue in any class you choose to practice with him.
